Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers Studio Green and its products: Studio Caddy, Studio Coach, Studio Suite, and any related mobile applications and websites. When we say we, us, or Studio Green, we mean the operators of these products.

The short version

• We collect the data we need to give you a coach that actually knows your game. That is your account info, your golf data (shots, rounds, scores), and how you use the app.
• We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. There is no ad network embedded in any product.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
• If you send us data through a launch monitor, we treat it the same as any other data on your account.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, name (if you provide one), and authentication tokens for signing you in.

Golf data you enter or that your launch monitor sends. Shots, rounds, scores, clubs, courses played, and (if you connect a launch monitor) ball flight and swing data.

Location, when relevant. If you use Studio Caddy on the course and grant location permission, we use your location to know which hole you are on and give you accurate yardages. Location data is not stored beyond the round.

Photos and camera access, when you use them. If you take a screenshot of a launch monitor summary and upload it, we process the image to extract your carry distances. The image itself is not permanently stored.

Usage data. Which parts of the app you use, how often, what errors you hit. This helps us fix things and prioritize improvements.

How we use it

• To coach you. Your data feeds the plans, drills, and analysis Coach gives you.
• To communicate with you. Post-round emails, drill notifications, waitlist updates.
• To make the product better. Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us improve features.
• To send updates to your golf pro, but only if you opt into that feature explicitly.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
• We do not share your golf data with third parties without your explicit consent.
• We do not run ads or embed ad networks.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Third-party services

Studio Green uses a small number of third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Supabase. Database and authentication. Data is stored in US-based cloud infrastructure.
• Cloudflare. Web hosting, DNS, and edge routing.
• Microsoft Graph. We send transactional email (welcome, post-round, waitlist) from Microsoft 365.
• Anthropic. We use Anthropic Claude to generate coaching content. Your data is sent as part of the request but is not used to train models.
• OpenAI. We may use OpenAI models for specific features (audio narration, image analysis). Same terms: not used to train models.
• Google Maps. For course maps.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Email [email protected] and we will respond within seven days.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you also have specific rights under GDPR and CCPA. Same email, same response window.

Children

Studio Green is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be emailed to active users.
